In March 2013 AirAsia has started new daily flight connection from Makassar to Manado. Through Makassar AirAsia connects Manado to many new destinations in Indonesia and Malaysia.
Good news: Manado is back in AirAsia's route map! Daily flights from and to Makassar (Ujung Pandang) in South Sulawesi offers Bunaken-lovers new low cost route options. From Makassar AirAsia flights in Indonesia to Balikpapan (BPN) in Kalimantan, Jakarta (CGK) and Surabaya (SUB) in Java and Bali (DPS). Makassar also connects Manado to destinations in Malaysia: Kota Kinabalu (BKI) in Borneo and Kuala Lumpur (KUL).
