Living Colours Diving Resort will host William Tan’s UW Photography Workshop between 17-24 June 2017. William Tan will give presentations on how to shoot uw-photos, compositions, lighting and post processing, as well as look at participants’ photos and discuss what could be done to make them better.

The week-long treat includes seven nights accommodation (full board, two-sharing), six days of diving (12 dives) and transfers airport-resort-airport for only 1150 EUR per person.

If there are many enthusiastic participants with DSRL cameras who wish to learn about Black Water Diving, the workshop can be extended by few days of nightdiving to concentrate on shooting the planktonic animals which rise from the deep abyss of the ocean to feed and breed followed by attendant predators.

William Tan Profile

William Tan has been fascinated with the creatures of the sea since childhood. A violinist with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, William earned his scuba diving certification in 1994. Thereafter, without his prized antique Italian violin, he travels extensively between concert seasons throughout the Pacific region judging underwater photo competitions, and photographing marine life for tourism organizations, scientific research groups, dive magazines, camera manufacturers, and resorts. William is sponsored by Nauticam International Ltd; Fourth Element; RGBlue Underwater Lighting System; and works very closely with Canon Inc. Singapore.

Solar eclipse Bunaken 2016

On a beautiful Wednesday morning on March 9th 2016 we had the opportunity to enjoy breakfast witnessing an amazing 98% full solar eclipse here in Living Colours restaurant. The eclipse took almost three hours in total and the peak lasted for about five minutes.

During the eclipse the sun stopped warming and air temperature dropped rapidly by three degrees. We also tried to follow flower behaviour but unfortunately our sample got eaten by a grasshopper during the eclipse.

Thank you Maria Haipus for this lovely photo collage.
